Position: Installations Team Leader - Southern Region

Location: Field Based - South of UK 
Job type: Permanent, 39 hours per week

The impact you will have

 

The role will provide technical support to the installed product range fof the portfolio.  The role will work with the Southern Installation Technical Lead whilst managing the Installation Team for the South East region. This role will support the sales and implementation process through training, site visits and assessments. This role will build and maintain professional working relationships with our customers, delivering excellent standards of customer service at all times.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

 

Commercial Support

  • Ongoing technical field support for Head of Commercial Solutions, Business Development Managers and Clinical Specialists across all installed products.
  • Identify and help support lead generation of new and development of existing business.
  • Prepare and develop training programmes for existing and new employees for installed portfolio, including Sales, technical and Installation teams.

 

Tenders/Projects

  • Provide assistance with tenders, providing both technical and pricing support
  • Work with logistics and Project Manager to improve visibilitiy of project work, including start dates, mobilisation and raising standards of installed products.

 

Quality System Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements. Working with Compliance team to ensure all new training systems comply with requirements.
  • To contribute to quality and continuous improvement across all Arjo installations and projects.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with the company Health and Safety requirements, British Standards and Legislation Professional organisations

 

Regional Installation Team

  • General day to day management of the South East Installation Engineers
  • Provide on-site supervision as required throughout the duration of larger scale projects
  • Identify and support opportunities of development and growth and responsibility within the South Installation Team
  • Management and ownership of current South Installaton teams’ training records
  • Manage and monitor Installation engineer activity / monthly expense & overtime claim reports.
  • Provide monthly reports on the Installation Team and provide feedback on team expenditure/performance level.
  • Provide field support/technical assistance to the Installation Team members.
  • Audit Installation Engineers work and performance activities on a regular basis.
  • Carry out Installation works as required within Installation operations demands.
  • Support Sales/PDT/Service with technical support, field survey activities and quotations.
  • Authorise installation assessments forms completed by the sales prior to order acceptance.
  • The provision of Risk Assessment and Method Statements (Generic and site specific where required) for installations ensuring that all aspects of the Health and Safety policy is met.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

 

Each organization shall have sufficient personnel with the necessary education, background, training, and experience to assure that all activities required by this part are correctly performed and shall establish procedures for identifying training needs and ensure that all personnel are trained to adequately perform their assigned responsibilities. Training shall be documented.

 

  • Considerable experience in Installations of Healthcare equipment
  • Relevant engineering qualifications, certificates
  • Experience with training internal and external employees
  • Computer literate, Windows, Excel, Powerpoint, CRM
  • SSSTS and CSCS required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • A high level of organisation and detail are required along with thorough documentation.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Must be customer focused with a high degree of attention to the customer's needs.
  • Experience related to construction and project management.
  • Work as one team to maintain a good working environment.
  • Experience in operating within an organisation accredited to ISO9001:  Quality Management.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements including risk assessments.

Special Features/Conditions:

  • The role requires national travel and overnight stays as required
